·Does anyone know if Sauers were ever issued with the trigger "in the white"? The gun I'm looking at is Eagle/37 proofed; serial #4469xx.

That sounds like the 'Zinc' trigger which would be perfectly correct for that time period according to Jim Cate's excellent book on the Sauer pistols!
May we have the complete serial number?
