Depends, if it was a WW1 britsh capture, then sold on the market, it made it here, and some USA guy was afraid of the lug making it a controlled item, he had it removed. I seem to recall seeing and hearing about a lot more lug removed lugers 30 years ago, then now, so wonder how many have been put back on...

By rights, if you spend the dollars on "restoring" it, I bet you can just get your money back, if it was me, I'd either shoot it, sell it here on the forum as a shooter, or mail it to me.
