I have a luger That has got me baffled. Please help.
Chamber date 1917, SN 1763. Full SN on L reciever, on underside of barrel and on front of frame below barrel. armorers strike on barrel and frame is perfect. SIMSON&Co/SUHL on front toggle, Su 25 and e/N on its side on R side of receiver, S, e/N, e/J underside of barrel, machined horizontal groove in lug, S/1.33 on front of trigger guard. All other numbers match and are 63's. No proof or any markings on the mag. Mag has wood bottom. Ejector is broke. No markings on inside of walnut grips.

*****.... Since Simson didn't start producing their own guns until the 20's I would think the earlier chamber date would indicate either a rework or something else creative. Some of the stamps you mention sure sound like Simson or at least attributed to Simson by some. It would really help if you could post some pictures. I think the whole Simson thing is very interesting.
