I recently picked up this Luger....its serial number would make it in the 1920s commercial range....however it has a replacement e655 Barrel,grips and FXO type magazine with the guns serial # on it....I would appreciate any feedback and info on when and who did the rework....Thanks...

Your Luger, sn 75346, started as a 20 DWM manufactured in late 1919 or 1920. At some point it became the property of the police and exposed style serial number placement was added. During the Nazi Era a sear safety was added, after 1939 An E/655 barrel and grips were added and a fxo magazine numbered 1 in the police style was added.
