Type 14 nambu Grips

Were all type 14 grips numbered to S/N of gun. I have a June 1943 that has 17 line grips with no numbers just a small proof?

The arsenal that made the 17 line grips marked them in pencil when they marked them at all. Frequently the markings are hard to see if they are there. Your unmarked grips may well be original. Oddly enough grips from that arsenal frequently fit poorly. Overlap is common on marked originals.
