Hi guys,

I’ve run into seemingly nice Nambu Type 94 with one matching & one extra mag + holster. Knowing nothing of Japanese guns, it seems that the finish is correct, trigger # is matching to the gun. The finish of the mag seems absent though. Bore is good. How original is this? What else to check? Is it worth buying? Please see pictures attached.

Thanks guys! Also he has a T14 20.7, but that pistol is quite ugly - bent trigger guard enlargement and no finish on the barrel & extension whatsoever, but I’d be guessing it’s correct for the last ditch gun. Any idea what’s the value for that piece?

That price would depend on how badly the trigger guard is bent....
Lacking any pictures, I tried to draw how it looks. The picture is of the other gun and only for illustration purposes. Thanks a lot for your help!
So the red line of the trigger guard is how it’s bent - basically glove space is flattened somewhat.

The 20.7 dated T-14 seems to be correct based on your description. Organized production at Nagoya Torrimatsu Arsenal ended with 20.6 and pistols at that point started to be assembled from rejected and spare parts. As for the price it is difficult to say without seeming it, but would be of interest to advanced collectors of Japanese pistols. Would love tp see pictures of it.
As I mentioned, unfortunately, I have no pictures... I am just curious what the ballpark price would be? Is it like $200 or $700?

So I ended up buying for $2k 3 guns:

  • type 94 mentioned above with a holster & spare mag
  • type 14 mentioned above
  • late war type 94 (last ditch?)

Please let me know how I did because again I know very little about these. Thank y’all!
