Jan, A friend of mine showed me his fathers ww2 bringback Luger. Its a 1910 DWM, # 5215d, hold-open added, unrelieved sear, Original type "F.W. Kinkel, Mainz" holster (possibly a reworked reichsrevolver), imperial marked tool, 1 wood bottomed matching mag marked in the "Old Style". Grip strap marked : 20.D.4.138. From your "Imperial Luger" book I believe it means: 20 th Dragoon Reg., 4rth Squadron, weapon # 138. Do you have any info that relates to the 20th Dragoon Reg.?? I'll give your web site address to him and hopefully he can post some pictures. Its in exec. condition. Unfort. it's not for sale. They might want a value for insurance purposes, etc. Thanks for your help. Mike Brown

Please tell your friend to post photographs.
1910 DWM, sn 5215d, 20.D.4.138.: 20 th Dragoon Regiment, 4th Eskadron, Waffen no. 138.
The 20 th Dragoon Regiment was part of the 28th Infantry Division and the 6th Cavalry Division during World War I and battled on the Western and Eastern Fronts. See page 144, 374-377 of Histories of 251 Divisions of the German Army that participated in the War 1914-1918.

Thanks Jan, I'll pass along this website and hopefully he will post pictures. It's in great condition, Rear axle pin and grip screws still fire blued, Straw has very little wear, good color. The extra mag is a ww2 HAENEL Schmeiser,satin-chrome eagle/L police.Grips are not chipped/cracked.etc. I didn't remove them so I don't know if they are marked. Thanks for your help. Mike
