I just picked up a Walther HP, 7.65mm It's in nice shape, stamped with and Eagle/N mark, the serial number is 3005. It has brown bakelite grips, and didn't come with a magazine.

Any information you have about Walther HPs would be much appreciated. I've tried searching on Google, but haven't been able to come up with anything good. Many thanks, Rob.

There seems to be a solid block of .30 cal ...SN #2930 to #3126. These pistols are highly valued with a mint example bringing more than $25,000. Many had two barrels..some with wooden grips...and others in a Single Action configuration..

May we have more info...and some photos, please?

Orvel,

I only have one barrel. The gun didn't come with an HP magazine, though I did get a magazine stamped "P .38v" and it fits into the gun. A cursive "a" is visible on the frame when the slide is pulled back. The gun is double action, and the plastic grips appear to be stock.

As I've noted, it's in nice shape, but it's nowhere near perfect. I'll try to post some pictures tomorrow, it'll be too dark to capture any detail now.

Thanks, Rob.

I paid $240 for it, probably one of the best deals I’ve ever made. It was a Canadian Officer’s WWII trophy, along with a Walther PP and Luger S/42 I also purchased.

The barrel and frame are stamped 3005, where would I find numbers on the locking block and slide?

Also, do any of you know what markings would be present on an HP magazine?
