The photos are of a Walther Model 4, serial 143031, that I have with the F subcontractor code which I believe was assigned to Christopher Funk in Suhl. The piece is serial number on the frame and slide with the last 2 digits on the nose cap and the bottom of the magazine. It appears that they used the same stamp for the safety and subcontractors ID.
In Jan Still’s Central Powers lists 96005 as having an F code but that serial also appears on a G code gun. The only other F code I have seen is serial 143119 which was listed on Gunbroker in Oct 2007 (sorry the pictures got mixed I was trying to put them in the next post) .
