Hi guys, During the war era, did Walther use the same cleaning rod for both the PP and the PPK? I have one that is exactly the same as the usual cleaning rod except it's about 1 inch longer? Someone told me that the longer one might be for a P-38. Your thoughts? Thanks.

Just for the record, the above depicted Rod is the very same as 2 examples I have in my collection, although one is of black plastic, which was included with my Boxed Walther P.38 circa 1970's production. ( E Prefix or Suffix, can't recall which, but indicates an Export piece. While my other one accompanied my Ex Polizei issue 1965 mfg Walther PP was of brass.
It appears as if Walther has apparently been using the above configuration since at least the late 1960' +/- & saw no need to change the format as the years went on, only the material was changed.

Best, Dom P.
