We have a Walthers p-38 480 with all the marking "Walthers banner" and the Carl Walthers company info.

It also has the test stamps from the german army and 2 guns crossed and the swa-sticka with a BH78 and C1861 I think. The S/N is 12XX early.

We are looking for info because of some things that I have read on them.

Your gun sounds wrong</u>...the 480 should not have any Walther Banner or addresses.

Can you post some photos or give a better description?

1/67 would probably be a slide date on the right hand side of the slide? These appear only on the Postwar slides with an "ULM/Do" address?

Wouldn't the BH proof be 'Bundes Heer' for the post-war
issue to the West German Army, also?

"BH" is usually the Austrians but they don't have a number following it.

The Postwar German marking was a "Bw", wasn't it?
