Jesse, look under the trader section, Jan sells them directly from his office / house.

Also, you can go on e-bay and buy them, there is a buy it now feature you can use.

Just to add there is also an add in GunList in Luger Section. I ordered a Weimar Luger book last week. Have been a long time sporting gun collector can't wait to get started adding some lugers to the one I have in my collection. Have my C and R just need some knowledge and ready to go!

Sounds good, but I have seen the "cheapest" (no offense Jan, as I have told him to jack his prices up $10) is from Jan Still himself, and he has this available right now:

quote:WEIMAR LUGERS, THIRD REICH LUGERS, AND AXIS PISTOLS,
Jan Still's classic masterpieces are again available. Each is $59 plus $10 postage = $69 total per book. Foreign orders add an additional $10 postage per book. Available only from Jan C. Still. Send check or money order to:

Jan C. Still, Box 240188, Douglas, Alaska, 99824.

I keep saying I should buy another set, put them aside, both for rise in value, and also because I literally use mine all the time, and sometimes the tub is tough on books.

I have bought and sent back 2 lugers this week alone after posting them on this forum and finding out both were fakes. I'm just thankful the guy's on this forum did't say "let the dummy learn for himself". I have learned that you cannot enter the Luger arena unprepared, therefore I have ordered all 4 of Mr. Still books. When I recieve them I will STUDY and LEARN. Then proceed with some knowledge.
I want to thank you fella's, without your help I would own 2 expensive fakes.

Jesse,
Like I said, we don't like anyone to get burnt. If a boosted Luger gets sold. That just means that someone will get nailed down the line. If these guys figure out that they can't sneak them across. Then maybe they will sell them for what they are, and come clean with future buyers.
I'm glad that a couple of members gave you a heads up before you got caught.

Dave K, I went to my local gunshop, saw 2 nice lugers, made a bargain to by both. The folks in the shop made no guarantees or claims to thier authenticity. They had taken them in on trade about a year ago. These people are my friends and neighbors. I happened to have my camera along so took pics. Posted them here, and these folks pointed out questionable areas of both. I took both guns back to the shop, they gave me a full refund.
The moral of this story is know to what you are looking at before buying. That's where I come up short. I was in a big hurry to BUY. These lugers tend to be expensive and most, like me can't afford a phony.
Again, Best to All..............Jesse
