I was offered 1921 9 mm DWM Luger ser. number range is 86xxx. I wonder what category this lUger belongs to? Is it commercial or police?

Does it have a sear safety? Does the mag match and if so does the mag have a 1 or 2 stamped above the serial? Are there any unit marks on the grip strap? Is there a suffix letter under the serial no.? Isn't the serial number in the 86xx range, not 86xxx? Pics would go a long way to help.

Roman, please give us more information. This is like saying, I have a blue Impala, what size engine is it...

Your xxx are those all numbers, if so, then it is a five digit commercial, but commercial went to the police.

Give us more info, give us pictures and then we can help...

I have not seen the gun yet, but the ser. number is correct and I think I found an answer in one of the threads below.

okay... It just can be either of them, I have a five digit that is a police, but there are lots of variables involved...
