WW2 Military High Standard, .22 cal., model H-D, U.S. Property marked

Can anyone:
...give me the serial number range that could verify WW2 usage for this pistol?
...give me any additional info that could help me verify WW2 usage for this pistol?
...refer me to a website that might help me learn a bit about these weapons?

According to my copy of "High Standard Automatic Pistols 1932-1950" by Charles E. Petty, on page 60, "Shipping of the USA-HD began with serial number 109110 on June 15, 1943, and continued to serial number 153890, which was shipped in mid 1946. Production totaled over 44,000 guns in that time." There is a lot more inteeresting info on this pistol, including the silencer equipped version.

The total procurement was 47,791, last shipment 5/12/45 according to factory records. The serial ranges are in a table in Charles Pate's book "U.S. Handguns of WWII: The Secondary Pistols and Revolvers." Col. Pate devotes an entire chapter to the High Standard.
The book is published by Mowbray, and is in my view excellent - well-written (for a change), well-illustrated, diligently researched.
