Hey gang
This is an Armand Gavage .32 ACP that my grand parent took home from a German Soldier back in WW2. (I hope the picture comes out) Do you know the value of this gun? I have the holster and Mag for it as well. I am trying to find out as much as I can about this pistol. Not to much info on Armand Gavage anywhere. Anyone know where I can find info on this gun? Thanks to all who respond. The serial # is 2550. Not sure of the date on this

Barry

Your question about the possible value of this pistol aroused my curiosity, so I did some reasearch, but could not find any instance where an Armand Gavage has changed hands or has been offered for sale in recent times. Neither could I find any of these pistols listed in any of the publications on firearms values. However, Jan Still lists a value in his 1986 revised edition of his Axis Pistols price guide as $350 in very good condition to $600 in excellent condition. Taking into account that these estimates are twenty years old, I would confidently double these values.

I agree with Aaron.
I have seen a couple of these within the last year or so listed on internet sellers' websites with prices at around $900 to $1000 and get snapped-up pretty quick. Randy Bessler had one and one sold on Gunbroker or Auction Arms a while back. Prices were around $1000 or so. I have pictures of them in my archive. One is sn 2320 and the other sn 2426. These were guns without a holster and spare mag. If it were mine, I would probably list the replacement cost of this rig at around $1200 for insurance purposes.

Greg, Aaron, And Fritz. Thanks for the great info on my Armand Gavage Pistol. Sounds like I have a great collectors item. It will stay in the family though. It came home from WW2 from a grand dad. He never told us how he got the pistol though. Never spoke much about the war. But he took the story about the gun with him when he passed away. I would love to get any other info on this gun, Or where I can find out info on this gun. Thanks again.....Barry
